food was really good...definately recommend this place. The environment is really small ...people there is nice too

Best food in LA! The most authentic Belizean food you will find outside of Belize, it's 100% legit.

The service is a little slow, but the wait is completely worth it. Prices are excellent, so affordable! We had a bunch of things and were happy with them all:
    stew chicken in gravy

    rice and beans
    plantains
    ducunu
    garnaches
    panades
    salbutes

    Can't wait to come back!

Great place and great food, the customer service is a bit sub par, it could be better but I feel they aren't really trying enough for a professional customer service attitude. That's just my opinion, everything else is great!!!

  • *****

Best Belizean food in area and never had such great stewed chicken. The gravy is amazing. Nice ambiance as well.

  • *****

Wow they are so friendly and the food is so delicious and to make it even better their prices are really good as well as the portions served

I came here for the first time tonight. A friend of mine suggested this place, after I mentioned my craving for Jamaican food. I ordered the jerk chicken, and it was so full of flavor. The cabbage was seasoned well! Everything was cooked perfectly, and with generous portions. I definitely will be back.

  • *****

Stew beef, shrimp in garlic sauce and meat pies are super tasty!
I never regret trying out this place with a friend's recommendation.
The owners are very hands on and intentional in connecting with their customers.
A genuine place with genuine dishes to offer.
    Gratifying!

Hands down best Belizean food in LA! Lunch specials are great prices for sure and food is consistently great. Fryjacks on the weekends are fantastic!

Unbelievably good food! I ate here for the first time last week, and it was so good. The two people working were super nice and helpful, and the food was amazing. I got the ducunu with stewed chicken, and I can't put into words how delicious it was. I seriously can not wait to eat here again!!

We lived in Belize for thirteen years and we don't get back as often as we'd like. Our experience at Belizean Paradise was a taste of home for us. Everything was delicious and authentically Belizean! We sampled all of our favorites: meat pies, panades, garnaches, salbutes... and then we had rice and beans with chicken and salad. We washed it all down with some watermelon juice and took a couple slices of milk cake to go. If you're in Los Angeles, like Belizean food, or want to get a taste of the Jewel of the Caribbean... you have to visit this place!

I grew up in the area and remember when this restaurant was I believe a Ethiopian restaurant, I ate here years ago and loved what I ordered, my daughter and I stopped by here a couple of days ago, I got the oxtail plate and she got stew chicken, my daughter is half Belizean(dad) and Creole (mommy) and is extremely picky especially when it comes to soul food and Caribbean food, I usually have to convince her to eat but she devoured her chicken, she's only 7 so she couldn't eat it all but she loved it, so did I but the highlight for me this time around was the potato salad!!! But my whole plate was amaze balls my oxtail had a good amount of meat on them, rice and beans were great and not dry at all plantains were juicy and sweet, definitely felt like gramma cooking, restaurant was great waitress was super nice, my go to spot for sure

Excellent Belizean Food! Hidden gem, a must try. I had the ducunu dinner with oxtails, so delicious. Make sure to get the soursap drink to wash down your meal. I couldn't rush and eat my food, I ate very slowly so i could savor every bite. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place!

For authentic Belizean food this is the place to go. Affordable and friendly!!

  • *****

This is the only place that makes stewed chicken like my grandma did.
I will never not have flashbacks to my childhood when I visited my dad's side of the family that all had moved up from Belize City to Chicago, I will never not think of my grandma's thick accent telling me "gyal you gettin so big!" while giving me a big hug and then immediately ask me if I want something to eat. I like to think she's up in heaven smiling down upon this amazing little restaurant that obviously puts the same amount of love into their food that she did when she made it for her family.

Also, them homemade juices. SOUR SAP.
Kenrick knows what's up everytime I walk in, and I can see it in his eyes before a word is even spoken on whether or not I should've called ahead because he ran out.

The only thing I would change is that I wish they always had Johnny cake, fry jack, and dutch cheese. They have johnny cake on Sunday mornings, though.
But come on, Kenrick! STOCK THE CHEESE, PLEASE. Haha.

Cannot speak highly enough of this place, real true blue Belize at its best, and I'm of course always down to support a small family business. They're the best!

  • *****

The food here is so amazing and very authentic. I always order the stew chicken with rice and beans it come with a side of potato salad and plantains. You can go for their lunch special it's only 5$ a plate or get a larger dinner portion for 10$, their panades amazing for 1$. The owner their has the best customer service he goes above and beyond for his customers.

  • *****

I love their garnaches! Also, their stew chicken and rice and beans is delicious as well.

  • *****

Food is so good every time I come here to eat. It's hot and fresh. The family that owns it is from Belize. They catered my moms funeral and the food was the main thing that made folks feel good at a time of loss. I really appreciated all the care taken in preparing the food. I'm making it a spot to continue to come and bring friends and family!

  • *****

Authentic Belizean food. Any dish you can think of they have it on the menu. I mean anything!

You can tell the business is family run by the quality and intimate service. I love dining in here whenever I want to feel like I'm back home. Plus there's a cute girl that works here who I don't mind looking at lol.

Lastly, it's always joyful to see and hear the conversations from other Belizean folks that comes in. Sitting down and listening to all the talk is just as fulfilling as the delicious food. It's always a good time here. So come on down folks and see for yourselves. You will not be dissatisfied.

  • *****

The best Caribbean food in LA! The food is tasty & the samples are good. Always coming back! :)

So Happy we found this place. The Ox tail is so delicious and the sauce is rich with flavor. The employees are super friendly, very happy with the customer service. Will definitely be coming back. So close to my job which makes it even better to come for my lunch break and enjoy the lunch specials.

  • *****

A+ I've never had Belizean food that was this great. The service was good and the food was awesome!!! I had the beef stew, the food was extremely tender just like I like it. The rice has a hint of coconut milk yum!!! I'll definitely be back to this joint.

  • *****

My boyfriend and I ate at this restaurant and it was very tasty. The garlic Shrimp , stew chicken, and salbutes were excellent. I recommend this belizean cuisine.

  • *****

Kenrick is just the best dude. Hanging with him when you come in is always a laughter-filled time.

I initially came here because my girlfriend is Belizean and we work very close by. Sometimes, she'll even pick up a bun for her parents when they're fresh. But, in no time, we were totally addicted to the food. Now, all of our co-workers come along with us regularly. They fantasize about it.

The fact is, this is just no-bullshit, delicious, wholesome food that is really cheap. Rice, beans, and meat. Wonderful vinegary Marie Sharps. Fall off the bone chicken. The lunch special is just an insane bargain. You can easily eat for 4 so under $30.

The only reason I dock a star is because some of the younger folks that work there are not great service-wise. If Kenrick leaves them on their own, they are very slow. They will forget to give us things until it's way too late, etc.

Overall, it's a small family business with wonderful food that deserves your patronage.

  • *****

Love this place. The stewed chicken and plantains are always easy, but my fav is their potato salad! We order take out at least 2 times a month and they haven't let me down yet!

  • *****

My tummy AND my soul was blessed! The huge tamales, the curry chicken-- umph, my God. Melt in your mouth tender meat and seasoned to perfection. And the price is right!!! I thank the Lord for Kenrick's talent and his testimony, and I'm so glad my bff found this place.

  • *****

I love that they are on my way home because I can always count on a great home cooked meal if I need one. The owners are friendly and welcoming! I recommend Belizean Paradise to everyone I know.

  • *****

YUMMY!! We've been to Belize a couple of times and this place brings authentic flavor to the menu. We had the curried chicken which was fabulous and tried both the fried and steamed tilapia (liked the steamed better). Stewed beans are the way to go.
Service is fine, prices are reasonable. Wish they had a branch in the Seattle area!!

  • *****

Love the food here! Wow so tasty and price was cheap for quality you get. The owner was so nice giving us free fresh fruit drinks because it was our first time. The watermelon and mango fruit juice had the pulp or bits of fruit that was so fresh. Location is next to a motel but don't let that turn you away because the food is so delicious it's worth it. Inside the restaurant it's bright Caribbean colors and very clean and it's very casual. Got a sampler appetizer plate and shrimp in garlic butter sauce and rice with black beans and plantains and everything was delicious. I don't live close by unfortunately but if I did I would buy food from here every week.

  • *****

Love this place!! Reminds me of Belize . Employees are really nice and u feel welcomed and at home at this restaurant!! A must visit

I came here because I found them on yelp. I really love this place now.
The food is always so consistent and the prices never change.
Kendrick , the owner , always has a sweet smile .
His wife is super friendly .
I support this place because it feels like I am eating in my uncle's kitchen .
Thanks guys for always being open and always having great food.
    Love ,
    Erica and Charli

My favorite spot to hit. Love the whole deal. The place the people. Most importantly the food .

  • *****

By far one of my all time favorite restaurants! The staff is incredibly nice too! The owner gave me a meal on the house once just for being a regular!

  • *****

There was nothing that hit our plates that was remotely less than fantastic. Even the potato salad, which is normally a throwaway was spectacular. The ducunu (soft cornmeal cakes) with either the chicken or beef were essential as are the small, inexpensive, homemade lemon meringue pies (under $5), which even if you are full, should be bought to take home as they are that good. The friendly staff and bright colors of the restaurant make this reasonably-priced dining experience great.

  • *****

My boyfriend has been dying to find a place for me to try Belizean food(his whole family is from Belize). We decided to go here and it was amazing! They ran out of chicken tamales which I was a little sad about but me and my boyfriend shared the last one they had. I had the chicken curry and beans and rice instead and it was really good. I can't wait to come back here!

  • *****

Food is awesome and allways fresh

  • *****

I love this place if I could eat here everyday I would. I travel from the SOUTHBAY area. The oxtails, fried tilapia, and stew chicken dark meat are my favs. You cant go wrong with any item on the menu all are delicious.

  • *****

I haven't had this type of food in 20 years. I decided to Yelp a place and I came cross this place. I can saw the food was amazing. I will be coming back soon. I had the stew chicken, rice and peas with potato salad. Yummy I almost ate it all

  • *****

Best Belizean restaurant in Los Angels by far quality of food and portions are amazing, good people even better vibes #GoDeStrong

  • *****

A small family owned business located across the street from Starbucks and Burger King. This is THE go to restaurant for Belizean food. I've tried a majority of the Belizean restaurants in the Los Angeles area and none compare. The quality the portion and the price can't be touched. The retried beans and chips are great while you wait the beans have a nice spice to them that gives it a nice kick. The meat on the stew chicken will literally fall off the bone when you touch it. The potato salad is great and so are the rice and beans. Everything I've tried from the tamales, the sampler plate to the ox tail have all been delicious. Don't forget to add the Marie sharps hot sauce to give it an extra kick.

The best Belizean food in all of L.A !

  • *****

I discovered this place via Yelp.

I was excited to find a restaurant claiming to offer authentic cuisine on the west side of LA.

The first time I went they were closed and had I looked at the hours on their website I would not have wasted a lunch hour in hot pursuit of Panadas and Stewed Chicken.

Nevertheless I returned the following day. The restaurant is located in the cut next to a hotel/motel so if you're not familiar with the area you'll miss it.

I received my food and was excited to smell that familiar aroma.

The Panadas were fresh and larger than expected so that was a great buy for $1 a piece. I ordered the stewed chicken lunch that came with rice and beans and that famous salad(potato salad). If you know anything about Belizean culture you know about that side of potato salad or coleslaw that accompanies every meal. I also ordered a ginger beer just because I love the taste.

Everything was tasty, I took off one star not because of the quality of the food but because I grew up eating stewed chicken and rice and something was a little off in the flavor. I don't know if it was missing the recado or what.

All in all I will return and I recommend you also give them a try. You won't be disappointed. Oh snaps I almost forgot they had a shot of Marie Sharps hot sauce on the side which is always a plus in my book.

  • *****

Came here on a Wednesday for lunch.. we had fish pandas (sooo good) the brown chicken lunch special the beef lunch special both come with rice and beans with a nice scoop of salad my brother had garlic shrimp (a bit pricey at 15.95) but everything was really delicious and authentic just how i remember. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu items

  • *****

Authentic belizean food with generous portions and reasonable prices. I would recommend the split peas, rice and beans, stew chicken and the ducunu my favorite. The breakfast with tomato and egg, beans and fry jack is pretty good too.
It's a small place so don't go there with a big crowd but the people are nice and the food is sooo good!!

  • *****

Hidden gem for sure! The chicken is tender marinated to perfection with achiote and other spices. Reminds me of cochinita pibil and pollo Yucatan. It was served white rice, plantains, kidney beans, and potato salad. Perfect combination of sweet n salty. Add a Lil bit of Marie Sharp's habanero sauce and your tastebuds will start dancing to the heat. This is a Must try

  • *****

I'm all about a great deal for great food.
You can't beat the $5 lunch special!
Chicken, beans, rice, plantain and a scoop of some delicious potato salad. I fux with it heavily. Tue-Friday 11-3pm

  • *****

This place is awesome, great food and great people. Just like how you are use to your Belizean home cook meal, they do it the same way here. They make it with love and you can really taste it in the food. The owner Kenrick is a very friendly guy and will chit chat with you a little and see how the food is.

  • *****

Delicious stewed chicken breast, gravy, rice and lease. Reasonably priced at $6 for a lunch place which is plenty! This will be a mainstay.

  • *****

Oxtail was fantastic. Sample platter had great Panadas and other things we enjoyed. The man who was running the place was pleasant, polite and brought us some soursop and lime drinks. He didn't even charge us for them. Was a very pleasant dining experience.

I hope this place succeeds because trying Belizean cuisine was a great experience here. One tip, ask for the habanero pepper sauce. It has such a great flavor and compliments the food very well.

This place is a GREAT VALUE for the amount of food and it was delicious.

  • *****

This place is amazing!! The welcoming and friendly staff in combination with the great food warrants all 5 stars!!

  • *****

Love the oxtails... service is slow, so call in advance.

  • *****

Great authentic food from Belize! Homemade taste.

  • *****

Fantastic value in their lunch specials and it's delicious! Not much for atmosphere, but it's all about the food.

  • *****

First time here. Worth the wait. I got the chicken curry dinner plate that came with choice of coleslaw and or house salad, potato salad, beans, and rice w plantain. It was sooooooo good! You could tell the food was made with heart. I'm coming back here next time!

  • *****

    The food was really good!

  • *****

    DELICIOUS food!!!

  • *****

Best Belizean restaurant, and they give you a good amount for a good price..

  • *****

Paradise is right. I could take a bath in their chicken stew. Part mole/part vindaloo/part Jamaican jerk yet not really any of these. Or the soursap juice whose haunting perfumey passion fruit/guava/cherimoya (again, not any of these) flavor is like an emotional experience.

Okay -- so the juice was a little sweet.

The plantains were a little dry. The rice and beans were not as ambrosial as I was expecting for being cooked in coconut milk.

The atmosphere feels you wandered into your neighbor's living room: little girl doing jumping jacks in the corner, Lakers on the muted T.V.

But the warm and welcoming owners, the overall sensuousness of the food, the crazy cheap prices ($3.99 for an a la carte serving of chicken) make this place as close to paradise as you'll find in mid-city L.A. As for Belize -- I don't even know exactly where that is. But please take me there.

  • *****

Great food don't let the location fool you.

  • *****

Absolutely the best in LA! Perfect flavoring.

    Hello Belize.

Continuing on our Central American adventure the Belizean Paradise was our stop for Belizean food.

My favorite was the Garnaches. Cheesy. Beany. Crunchy. Yummy.
The Rice and Bean Beef Stew was also excellent. I wish more places serve plantains as it is the perfect sweet starchy side item.

The service was very fast and although we arrived about 10 minutes before they closed, they still served us and we did not feel rushed to leave. The people who work are really nice, and I really enjoyed watching the basketball game while munching down on my Garnaches.

    Thanks BP!

Have been here twice recently- can't get enough and keep craving it. Just like the food you've eaten in Belize. Stewed chicken is delicious, food is reasonably priced, everything is so good! And, the best part, is that street parking is free & abundant right in front.

  • *****

Had the chicken curry plate to go- so much flavor and great portions. The food was super delicious and everyone was really nice as always ( I even ordered the wrong juice and they didn't give me a hard time about changing it ). I just wish there was more places as good, chill and fun as this.

  • *****

Lovedddddd this place. Small and with so much flavor.

We were 4. Two new to Belizean food, and two that ate Caribbean food on the regular. Staff was friendly and knows their food.

Bare with me it's November and I went to L.A. in July.

Soooo mucchhhh food. It was all so delicious. I won't even sit here and try to remember what I had. But we all ate off each others plate.

Lots was left over, so dinner it was.

  • *****

Since we found this Belizean Restaurant is my wife's and my favarite spot! Great food!

  • *****

I don't give out a lot of 5 star reviews but this is the best food I've had in a while.

Chicken was tender, succulent. Plaintains cooked just right. The price was right.

It's amazing what happens when overrated hipsters AREN'T cooking your food!

I plan on eating my way through this entire menu.

  • *****

I absolutely loved this place. It's a small mom and pops restaurant and the food tasted very authentic. Everything from the drinks to the desserts were Belizean.

I ordered the rice and beans and chicken stew plate which also came with plantains and potatoe salad, but let me tell you about the chicken. Usually, I'm a white meat kind of girl but the dark meat was so good, flavored and fell right of the bone. Then the stew that the meat was cooked in was served with the chicken, which for me was finger licking good. I drizzled the stew on my beans and rice and on my plantain. Since every flavor complimented one another, I found myself putting a small amount of each item on my fork all at once to eat (Don't judge me I love good food).

I do highly recommend this place for anyone wishing to try something new and enjoy the experience.

  • *****

The sour sap juice! All the inexpensive delicious appetizers! This place is one of the best finds I have come across in LA thanks to yelp. Also the staff had been super nice every time I have come - which just makes me extra happy to come back.

  • *****

Thinking about dinner, I was a little sad that this place was empty when I walked in. When I did a search for Belizean food, there are only four in Los Angeles that popped up. I've had Belizean food before, but it's been 15 years or so. I remember loving it, but for some reason over the years a return visit wasn't at the top of my list.

Service wasn't bad and it wasn't memorable. You walk in and grab a seat. They'll promptly take your order, but probably won't be back until they bring you the check. For this type of restaurant, my expectations were set low already so that didn't bother me. I didn't expect perky and obtrusive service.

They recommended the chicken stew. I read it is their house specialty. It's a dark, almost dark brown to black soup that was complex in flavors for me to want to savor every bite. The plantains and potato salad are simple dishes, but probably some of the best I have tasted. Sour sap is my favorite tropical juices, so I was pleased to see it on the menu.

There were so many dishes I need to come back and try either here or the other three Belizean restaurants.

Belizean Paradise is located in an interesting location. It's at the front of a dingy motel along La Brea. A place I probably would stay at if only if it was the only option on a road trip. There's a motel parking lot where you can park.

To me, finding these kind of the restaurants brings me the most joy of dining in Los Angeles.

  • *****

The food and drinks are the Truth!!! Great service. Will be back for more. Loved the Soursop juice haven't had it, since I been back to the Caribbean. "Big Up B.P."

  • *****

This has been our staple for lunch for years. A real gem of a place in this area. Everything they make is really good and we get excited about going there every time. And that $5 lunch special is just a crazy deal.

  • *****

My bf and I started coming here before they changed their name. we pretty much only come for the lunch specials, which are AMAZING. $7 for a super filling, delicious meal? Oh hell yes.

I always get the tilapia, which is always fried to perfection. The skin is so crispy and salty. I always crave it. My bf says the beef is always good (though he always ends up stealing half of my fish). Definitely recommend. Service is always friendly and food is prompt.

Also, the chips and bean sauce they bring out is so damn addicting. I could eat that shit for dayyyyyzzzz

  • *****

Love coming here & their food is so delicious !!! Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience great Belizean food.

    @BelizeanParadise on LaBrea. 5 service and taste. #Oxtails #currychicken #riceandbeans #sampleplate #potatosalad

This place hit the spot for me. I haven't had Belizean food in a while. Unfortunately I don't know of any places in Sacramento. I had stew chicken and sides and I enjoyed every bite.

  • *****

The service was fast and friendly.

I had the famed stewed chicken with rice and beans accompanied by a fried plantain. First off the rice was delicious and grainy very well seasoned. I could have had it alone with the meat sauce.
The chicken in and of itself was well seasoned. It was a bit tough on one side and the meat didn't fall off the bone as I had read but good non the less for 5 dollars one couldn't as for more. Good serving size and well seasoned food.

I was curious and ordered a Panade with Tuna fish which came with a drawing of pickled onions and habanero to give it a kick. All in all I am definitely coming back to try out the oxtail and the curry chicken.

  • *****

The staff were very friendly and greeted me as soon as I came in. Even the gentleman who picked up the phone order was helpful and took my order fast and precise.

I had the ox tail dinner and my father had the the tilapia plate. The food was presented well. The ox tail and fish were seasoned well to mu taste very flavorful.  The rice and beans was not dry or sticky. The Potatoe salad was simply amazing and nothing like store bought crap.

    A+ on the food!

This was a great experience, which brought back nostalgic feelings with my Belizean culture!

This place was so good I can't promise that I won't wake up tomorrow and go back again. I'm not even kidding. It was delicious. Everyone in there cleaned their plate and damn near sucked the meat off the bones.

For starters they have a $5 lunch special. That's five dollars in case you missed it. It's stewed chicken, rice & beans, plantain and potato salad. More than enough food for FIVE DOLLARS.

Next lets just discuss the delicious factor. Chicken so tender it's falling off the bone. Everything seasoned to perfection.

Next we will talk about this side of oxtails I'm not even big on oxtails however, when I tell  you they were stewed to perfection in a rich gravy so good, I wanted to slurp it out of the bowl.

The best part is that I was able to share these two items with my friend for lunch for under $15 including tip. You can't beat that with a stick. The owner even let me sample some traditional Belizian beverage and was very nice to us.

Sure. The service may have been slow, but who cares. Work it out. Take some deep breaths and work on your patience blood food for five dollars leave NO room for complaints. Take all of that jazz above Wilshire. We are chilling down here.

I don't care what any negative review says. The food here is AMAZING with a capital A. I went here once like 2 years ago and I'm still salivating. Their oxtails were the best I've had, even better than ones I've had at Jamaican restaurants and even Jamaica! Go Belizean food! :) The curry chicken is excellent. Definitely a bucket list place, and now that I've found it again I'm going for my birthday on Saturday.

  • *****

First off, service is subpar, but I am not the one to leave 1 star because of service. I go here for the food. I heard about this place through a coworker who found out I was Belizean and wondered if I ever knew of this place. Of course, I went to check it out. The food is authentic (if you are the one to care about that), but better. It is delicious. If you are new to Belizean food, I highly recommend getting a sampler plate with a meat pie and potato salad on the side. You won't regret it! ALSO DEFINITELY TRY THE SOURSAP DRINK! It will change your life forever.

Absolutely Delicious. ....authentic Belizean food that is not too greasy.  I love this restaurant. The stew beans and white  rice are so flavorful that you hardly need meat with them.  I always get the talapia or shrimp in garlic sauce, but i here the beef and chicken  are good as well. Another "must try" is the conch soup.  They are not big on veggies here, unless you consider Cole slaw veggies.  Call a head of time, it may take a while, but we'll worth the wait.

Aquagrill is a cute little spot in SoHo that consistently serves innovative fish dishes. Nice ambiance and wonderful service. The place is low-key and versatile, given the unique layout of the dining room. So good for a romantic dinner for two or a family celebration. Also a very hip bar scene.

The food here is so good.  Now they need to work on their hostess service, which is why I gave them a four instead of a 5. The food takes a while to prepare, but it is worth the wait.

We had the whole fried fish, sampler plate--I like everything on it except the empanadas, the chicken tamale, the beans and chips they serve while you are waiting is AWESOME! We had the fillet fried tilapia, and the potato salad is the best, the garnaches, oh wow,  now the milk cake was not moist enough, dam the dessert, the food was good.  Now use the bathroom before you get there, it is connected to the motel, and you use their public bathroom, which was disgusting, if it was their's I would not have eaten there.

It is a small place so get their early ro get a good place to sit, or wait around for someone to get up.  It will be our new Saturday & Sunday, hangout.

Owner work on your hostess service, and collaborate with the motel to keep those bathrooms cleaned.

This place is soooo good!!! The Panades are to die for. The Duncunu is so sweet that I had to take it home. It took me two days to eat! The Curry Chicken melts in your mouth. It's a hidden Oasis!!! A Mom and Pops business. Have you ever had a Carmel Apple? Well they have a cake with Carmel as the icing!!! What??! All this food we got for two, with left overs for get this...$22!!! Yaaaaassss!!!! I live right around the corner, grew up in LA, and it took my Belizean friend to introduce me to this Belizean Paradise. Plan to put this place on the map!!! In love!!!

A hidden gem.  Truly amazing homemade Belizan food. We come here often and have never been disappointed.  The food is fresh, flavorful and the service great. The meat pies are mouth watering, tamales amazing and the main dishes so delicious...such unique flavors.  I highly recommend it!

This place is fantastic! Happened to see it driving by on my lunch break the other day so I stopped in. I asked the nice lady at the counter what I should try and she suggested the $5 chicken, rice and beans lunch special.

In actuality it was chicken, rice & beans, a nice dollop of potato salad and a plantain, $5 total and it all tasted so good! They asked if I wanted hot sauce (you bet I did) and of course out comes Marie Sharps bomb habanero pepper sauce that my Dad introduced me to as a kid. I ordered two $1 crispy tortilla, bean, spicy onion and cheese topped things (ganache?) that were outstanding as well. They reminded me of the Navajo tacos I used to get in Durango CO only crispier. My bill total was $7.43 and I was stuffed but feeling great!

What a find, I can't wait to come back and try their other items!

The food is amazing, delicious! I ordered the Ducunu plate with curry chicken. It came with 2 ducunu, a medium side of stewed beans, small side of potatoe salad, 2 long plaintains and 2 pieces of chicken. The curry gravy came with large pieces of potatoes and some stewed carrots so that felt like another side. VERY LARGE PORTION SIZE! Enough for 2 maybe 3 to share. Subtotal $12 w/ tax Total $14. Im cheap but it was worth it! I had this for dinner, breakfast, lunch, dinner and another breakfast before I finished it. So filling, so delicious!

After visiting here 4 times and always being overwhelmed by the food, it's finally time to thank them publicly! The chicken melts off of the bone and the coconut rice couldn't make you more happy, but above all, the atmosphere always makes me feel like I'm back in Belize, chatting it up in someone's kitchen. In this case, if you're lucky, Yvonne may even knit you a scarf! Now that's hospitality. All that's missing is the Belekin :)
